Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Cat Tracks ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Cat Tracks. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post to Cat Tracks, including photos, posts, and cat profiles. By posting content, you grant Cat Tracks a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the Service.

You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. Cat Tracks reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

5. Location Data

Cat Tracks allows users to log geographic sighting coordinates for community cats. You understand that sighting locations you submit may be visible to other users of the Service. Do not submit precise location data for owned cats or sensitive locations without appropriate consideration.

6. Community Standards

Cat Tracks is a community platform for feral cat caretakers and enthusiasts. You agree to engage respectfully with other users. Harassment, hate speech, spam, and deliberately false information about cats or other users are prohibited and may result in account termination.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Cat Tracks is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Cat Tracks is not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted information about cats or their locations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cat Tracks and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to decisions made based on cat sighting information posted by other users.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
